I came across Ayawakening while searching for sacred ceremonies taking place during my visit to Brazil, and I instantly connected with their respectful vision regarding this experience as a first timer. Since the first interaction Daniel has been extremely helpful providing me all the details and making sure we were on the same page, managing expectations and staying available for any further inquiries. The initial calls were the perfect approach to ‘break the ice’ and clarify important questions and motivations on a very down to earth perspective. He and his team guarantee all the logistics – pre, during and post the experience. I always felt supported and safe, not only alongside him but also with Alessandro, the lovely driver that took us from the city of São Paulo to the peaceful ‘terreiro’ in Peruíbe where the ceremony took place. By the time we arrived, we were welcomed by Daniel, the Pajê, his wife, all the other facilitators and a beautiful community of like-minded people who we shared the sacred medicine with. I can’t go too further on the experience itself as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, and it is very personal. I do agree that one must feel the calling and have the correct motivation to do it. I can recommend, though, with all my heart, Daniel and Ayawakening for providing this experience in a very complete way, in a beautiful setting and a very loving environment. Cherry on the cake: Ayawakening provided sleeping bags, waters and other comfortable amenities, which is great in case you are a traveler like me and cannot take everything with you. Also, the shared breakfast the morning after is a plus and a nice moment of connection with everyone. If I have the chance, I will definitely look for Ayawakening again. Thank you once again, Daniel!

I took part in the group Yawanawá ceremony on December 16, 2023, followed by a private retreat on December 17. I’m a private person, so I went into the group session with some anxiety, but after an evening with Xinã, Daniel, and the community who came together to share in the experience, I feel gratitude beyond measure for going. Ayahuasca is administered in small doses throughout the evening. After the first dose was given, Xinã’s group began chanting, singing, playing music, and dancing, which guided us on our journey until the early hours of the morning. And of course most important in whole process is the people who will be next to you while having this kind of journey. I attended a weekend retreat during my travels in Brazil. Ayawakening prepared me mentally for the ceremony by providing well researched and scientific information about the plant and its short and long-term effects (even though I’ve also done my own research, I found this very useful – and I could also discuss my worries). The setting was very comfortable with a bonfire and amazing live music. I felt very safe having a guide there to translate, and also making sure that I was feeling comfortable during the ceremony without acting like a babysitter (I was actually a bit afraid that it would feel like that), and I had the full space to have my own experience. I was also brought safely to the ceremony and back the morning after. The guide was a very kind and down-to-earth guy, that genuinely wants to show people what this medicine is capable of doing. And if you are In Brazil and close to São Paulo, looking for a contact to experience Ayahuasca, I’d recommend you to contact ayawakening. They can arrange for group sessions or personal sessions as you like or prefer and as per your convenience. We had taken a personal session for 2, me and my husband. From the time we got in touch through email and WhatsApp till the time we got picked up from the hotel, we’d never met our guide before. But once we met we knew that we’ve chosen right coz he’s gonna be there throughout. We had been to a nice, suitable place for the whole ayahuasca experience and did the ceremony with the Shaman. The shaman and his wife were so helpful and so nice, that we felt like we’re with our family away from home. The place was beautiful, the setup was amazing, the environment was calm and quiet as you’d expect for this, and everything was just perfect. U will definitely leave satisfied once U’ve been there and done Ayahuasca. I seriously recommend trying this out to everyone and specially with ayawakening. We can’t thank you enough, for everything.
